Three Forks Man Pleads Guilty to Felony Sexual Abuse of Children and to Filming Other Abusers

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — A Three Forks man who had sex with a young girl and recorded his friend having sex with her has pleaded guilty to felony sexual intercourse without consent and felony sexual abuse of children.

The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports that 39-year-old Robert Sapien made the guilty plea and in exchange had two other felony sex charges dropped.

The agreement recommends Sapien serve an 80-year prison sentence with no time suspended. Sapien's sentencing is set for Aug. 26.

The friend recorded having sex with the girl, 41-year-old Jason Jay Norris of Three Forks, has been charged with felony sexual intercourse without consent.

He remains jailed on a $50,000 bail with a trial date set for Aug. 14. He faces life in prison.
