The United States Places 3rd For Renewable Energy
A new Pew charitable trust report that tracks investments in the clean energy sector puts the U.S. in 3rd place, and finds a connection with strong clean energy policies. Peggy Beltrone, with Exergy Integrated Systems, says her company is designing new technologies and hopes to have their new wind turbine in place in Montana in 3 years, employing more than 200 people, but says there is still uncertainty at the federal and state level.
Phillis Cuttino, with the Pew Clean Energy Program, says there is fast growing competition to gather up investment cash.
Bloomberg New Energy Finance Chief Executive Michael Liebreich compares the clean energy race to the internet race.
