Once again this year, outdoor activities for all ages are in store at the Teller Wildlife Refuge Youth Conservation Expo!

For six years, lots of sponsors and volunteers have been coordinating this one-day event at the Red Slack Barn, 1180 Chaffin Lane, Corvallis. This year's event is Saturday, May 13, from 10 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The Youth Conservation and Education Expo strives to engage youth in a variety of outdoor activities. And there's a chance to win one of 100 free spots to outdoor summer camps locally and across the state for kids age 6-17!

Expo events include a climbing wall, BB gun shooting, archery ranges, FWP laser shooting range, fly casting and fly tying clinics, duck, goose, turkey and elk calling, big game scoring and lots more! Educational presentations include shooting safety, horse packing, land ethics, wildlife conservation and dog handling.

Admission is free and food will be available for purchase. My good friend Shane Clouse is very actively involved in this and I appreciate him letting pass some details on to you. If you'd like to know more, you can call Tom at 406-531-4224 or Lauren at 406-961-3507. Or check the Teller Youth Conservation web page.

If you are encouraging your kids to anything in the great outdoors, this is a fabulous, must-attend event. They look forward to seeing you there!
