More Flood Relief Money Headed to Montana

1.6 Million dollars of Federal relief money and technical assistance will find its way into the hands of farmers and ranchers hurt by last summers floods. The grant money was made available by the United States Department of Agriculture's Emergency Conservation Program. Among other services, The Emergency Conservation Program aid money will help to remove debris, restore livestock fences and other conservation structures, as well as grade and shape farmland damaged by the flooding.

Farm Service Agency to Host Important Public Meeting

The USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) will host a public meeting to discuss the proposed consolidation of the Treasure County FSA Office. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday January 26 at 1:30 P.M. at the Community Center at 306 Rapelje Avenue in Hysham. This will be the only meeting held to take oral public comment on the consolidation plan.
