In an attempt to cut back on bike thefts in Missoula, police have been trying a different tactic this week that netted arrests very early Wednesday morning.
Missoula police were called out to a business on North Reserve after a woman reported that her car had been stolen on Thursday afternoon, April 20, but it turns out she wasn't the only victim that day.
Two individuals were arrested in Missoula Wednesday after employees at a local shopping center noticed them trying to take food without paying. Police arrived and found there was more to the story.
"Officers were called to a local retail store in the 3500 block of Mullan Road for what was reported as two adults in custody for shoplifting," Said Missoula Police Public Information Officer

At around 11:45 Thursday night, a Missoula citizen called 911 to report that she had just witnessed two younger males break into a vehicle in her neighborhood.
