The question of whether or not there will be a primary in Ward Two of the Missoula City Council election is creating confusion that the county elections office will take before the city council to work out.
The July 2 deadline to file for election to the Missoula City Council passed at the close of business Thursday at the county elections office, and only one race has enough candidates to qualify for a primary.
As of 2:30 a.m. primary election results have Democrats Kirsten Pabst winning the Missoula County Attorney race, and Detective T.J. McDermott defeating the other two Democrats, Josh Clark and Bob Parcell in the race for sheriff.
