The Missoula Rural Fire District has officially improved its Insurance Services Office rating, thus making it possible for over 10,000 homeowners to lower their insurance rates.
It was a joint effort on Saturday morning as Frenchtown Fire, Missoula Rural Fire and a county road crew worked together to fight a structure fire near Frenchtown.
Just after 10:00 a.m. on Friday, crews from Missoula Rural Fire and the Missoula City Fire department responded to a vehicle fire on Raser Drive, which rapidly turned into an industrial fire response.
Just before 1:00 a.m. on Monday, Labor Day, a Lolo household was awakened by explosions coming from their garage where a fire had set off stored ammunition.
A cabin fire was reported to 9-1-1 just before 2:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Turah Store and Campground, and Missoula Rural Fire responded along with other firefighting agencies.
Missoula Rural Fire was called out at about 2:30 on Monday afternoon to a report of a residential structure fire at 1865 Nut Hatch Drive just off Cote Lane west of Missoula.
