Two separate wildfires were discovered in the Nine Mile area west of Missoula and near Clinton, east of Missoula on Thursday.

The Pattee Canyon Area is one of the more popular recreation areas where conflicts between dogs as well as conflict between people and dogs have become more frequent.

Smoke visible coming from west of Missoula is the result of several prescribed burns being conducted by the Nine Mile Ranger District.
