The Western Montana Fair kicks off this Tuesday, August 7, in Missoula and the biggest news for the public is that there will be no entry fee to enter this year.

Last year Montana cataloged a record number of Shiga Toxin E. Coli cases and Department of Health and Human Services epidemiologist Dana Fejes is advising the public to be cautious.

In 2014, three North Star vending booths were shut down at the Western Montana Fair after large quantities of meat were found that had not been refrigerated for multiple days. Since then, the Missoula City-County Health Department has been monitoring the vendors, and, according to Fairground Director Todd Garrett, they will be back serving food in 2016...

We walked around the fairgrounds and this is what we saw.

There are less than 30 days left to register to vote in Montana, and the folks down at the Missoula Election center are hoping folks will come visit them at the fairgrounds before the very last minute. Missoula County Elections Commissioner Rebecca Connors, explains why.
