Obama Plays Defense on Energy Policy

On Tuesday, the U.S. Secretary of Energy Dr. Steven Chu publicly backtracked on his prior opinion that domestic gas prices need to rise to European levels. This same week, Obama spoke out against his Republican opponents for their "flat-earth" mentality on energy. The focus on energy this week is driven by gas prices that not only hurt the wallet, they hurt Obama's re-election chances.

New Montana Wind Farm on It’s Way

Montana is set to receive a new 20,000 watt wind farm just outside the town of Shawmut by the end of 2012. The wind turbines are from Goldwind, a Chinese government backed windmill manufacturing firm from Urumqi, Xinjang that competes directly with General Electric. Goldwind already has 6,000 turbines running worldwide and has plans for projects in multiple U.S. States including Ohio, and Rhode Island.
