Attempted Deliberate Homicide

UPDATE 6: A.M. Saturday, July 19 Missoula County Sheriff's Office Chief of Detectives Mike Dominick issued a revised news release at 6 a.m. Saturday regarding the suspects wanted for robbing and shooting a man and leaving him by the side of I-90 late Wednesday night. A Hamilton man has been charged with attempted deliberate homicide in Ravalli County after allegedly attempting to run over another man with his pickup truck over the weekend.

Three defendants involved with an undercover drug sting shooting that occurred on November  27 entered pleas of not guilty in Missoula District Court on Tuesday, December 31.

Three Lake County men are in custody and another is still at large, after two weekend shooting incidents in Pablo.

On Tuesday, November 12, Emmit Hogsten, 45, received a sentence of 50 years in the Montana State Prison with 30 years suspended after he stabbed his wife, Jennifer, repeatedly until the knife broke and she escaped to a nearby business.

A Missoula man who shot his wife in the face with a .22 caliber rifle was sentenced in Missoula District Court on Tuesday, November 12 to 20 years in the Montana State Prison, with 10 years suspended.

Christopher Lee Burch, 23, one of the two men involved in an armed robbery and near-fatal shooting at the Ole's Country Store in East Missoula on September 7, 2012, changed his pleas to guilty on three felony counts in Missoula District Court on Wednesday, September 18.

A Vancouver, Washington man, Matthew Colbert, 39, is in the Granite County jail charged with two counts attempted deliberated homicide, after a drive-by shooting incident that occurred on Friday morning, July 26.

Mark Bryon Tabish, 55, appeared in justice court via video from the Missoula County Jail on Wednesday afternoon after allegedly shooting his wife in the face with a small caliber rifle early Tuesday morning at their Missoula home.

45 year-old Emmitt Hogsten was charged with attempted deliberate homicide along with two other felonies and one misdemeanor in Missoula Justice Court on Tuesday.
