The 41 Complex of forest fires in the Sapphire Mountains east of Hamilton is mainly the Up Top Fire, which has now cross Skalkaho Highway on its way south. Skalkaho Pass Remains Closed Due To Fire [AUDIO]
The 41 complex of fires grew by about 800 acres Tuesday, and Skalkaho Pass on Highway 36 remains closed because of fires burning on both sides of the highway. I spoke with Bitterroot National Forest Information Officer Todd McKay late Tuesday afternoon. That interview is attached.
