Suspect in Grey Wolf Casino Armed Robbery Case Apprehended

A man suspected of robbing the Grey Wolf Casino near Missoula has been arrested and will appear in court today, Feb. 7.
In the original robbery, a male suspect entered the Grey Wolf Casino at 1:30 in the morning on May 7, 2011 and demanded cash from the cashier at gun point. The thief escaped with $9,000.
Missoula County Sheriff’s deputy Kenny White followed new information which led to the arrest of 31-year-old David Whaley of Polson.
A search warrant allowed investigators to locate a pistol that is believed to have been used in the robbery as well as a “dark colored vehicle” that matches the description given by a casino security guard.

According to Missoula County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer, Jason Johnson, the car and the pistol were key to the arrest. Whaley will appear in court on Feb. 7 at 2:30. He is charged with robbery.
