SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — San Francisco police have arrested a man in connection with a suitcase found on a downtown street stuffed with dismembered human remains.

Officer Grace Gatpandan said in a statement that 59-year-old Mark Andrus was booked into county jail early Saturday morning on suspicion of murder. Andrus was one of two people detained the previous evening after Gatpandan said police received a call on the department's anonymous tip line that a "person of interest" in the suitcase incident had been spotted.

The suitcase was found Wednesday afternoon on a street in the city's South of Market neighborhood. More body parts were found in a trash can nearby.
