The Davidson’s Honors College has been hosting their Summer Honors Institute on the University of Montana campus.  Dean of the Davidson’s Honors College Brock Tessman, said the program gives students a quick glimpse of what college could be like at the University of Montana.

"We have about 60 high schools students on the University of Montana campus, Tessman said. "They are taking courses for college credit. They are exploring campus and the Missoula community and finding out what its like to be a student at the University of Montana. We try to give them a great experience here this summer so they think about us again when they’re selecting their college."

While on campus students will also have the chance to present the work they create.

“At the end of the academic portion of the Schwanke Summer Honors Institute they have the chance to present their work,” Tessman said. “There are creative writing students. There are media arts students. There are mathematics students. So they are all presenting the work they’ve been working on for the past two weeks.”

All presentations will be at the Davidson’s Honors College lounge on campus Thursday at 7 pm.
