This week, September 9, the Montana Office of Public Instruction has started a campaign to gin up public support for the new Common Core education standards.

The campaign, titled "Montanans for the Common Core," will go from now through fall and will feature YouTube videos (like the one above) of supporters of Common Core.

According to a release from OPI Superintendent Denise Juneau, "the Office of Public Instruction, MEA-MFT, and School Administrators of Montana will be releasing one to two videos per week with educators and community leaders in Montana talking about their support for the Montana Common Core Standards, what teachers and school leaders are seeing in their classrooms as a result of the new standards, and why the standards will have a positive impact on Montana students and our state's future."

Common Core has received significant push back in other states as well as in Montana. For example, a website run by "Montanans Against Common Core" has been running since May of 2013.

Accompanying the new campaign is a retooled Montana Common Core standards website.
