Montana State Insurance Commissioner Monica Lindeen published a statement Thursday regarding the 5-4 vote in the United States Supreme Court upholding the President's Health care bill. Lindeen says her office will continue to uphold and enforce the two year-old law, however, Lindeen says she is very concerned about protecting state's rights when it comes to regulating rates and providing services in a rural state like Montana.

Lindeen says the Montana legislature failed to pass any of the four bills her office put forth during the last session, and the deadline has already passed to provide more state control, however, she says she will propose new legislation during the next session in 2013.
