MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — A man who reportedly walked away from a pre-release center in Spokane, Wash., is jailed in Missoula on charges he had drugs with him when he was stopped in a car that had been reported stolen.

The Missoulian reports 33-year-old Joseph Richard Caietti appeared in Missoula County Justice Court Monday on charges of felony theft, escape and criminal possession of dangerous drugs.

Sheriff's Detective Jason Johnson says Caietti is charged with taking a car that a woman had left running in front of her house. When officers stopped the car, they found Caietti along with the drugs.

Dispatchers determined that Caietti was wanted for leaving the Community Corrections Center in Spokane.
