Some Missoulian's living in the Lower Miller Creek area have called Northwestern Energy reporting a power outage that began just before noon today, January 7. Power was restored about an hour after it shut off after Northwest Energy dispatched someone to investigate the problem. Northwest Energy reps say there was "no scheduled outage" in the area.

According to Northwestern Energy spokesman Butch Larcomb, 36 homes were effected by the outage.

An investigation into what caused the outage is underway.
