Suburban Chicago police say a small plane has crashed near a bank in Bolingbrook.

Bolingbrook Police Lt. Michael Rompa says there are two burn victims in the crash Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. Rompa says emergency personnel are searching for additional victims. Rompa says the two victims are believed to be the pilot and passenger of the plane.

Police say the plane crashed into a tree, light pole and several vehicles near a Chase Bank. The plane was on fire in initial photos of the scene, with smoke billowing from the parking lot. Video footage a short time later showed the fire was out.

Authorities in Bolingbrook say they have notified the Federal Aviation Administration.
