Montana Governor Steve Bullock revealed a set of redesigned Montana highway signs during a press conference at the new Montana Department of Transportation Sign Shop in Helena today, January 28.

“The new highway signs will greet visitors and welcome Montanans home in a way we can all be proud of,” said Bullock. “The powerful design and durable, cost-effective manufacturing is the perfect example of effective state government—interagency collaboration addressing the needs of Montanans.”

The new signs are possible because of a new high-tech digital printer and some beautiful photographs by professional photographers Chuck Haney and Donita Sexton, an award winning staff photographer for the Montana Office of Tourism.

The signs will start to appear this spring and should be all in place by the end of the summer. There are a total of ten different photographic images as well as 34 separate locations for the signs.
