It took from late Friday until early Saturday morning, but Missoula City Fire, Missoula Rural Fire and Life Flight teamed up to rescue a young man who had crashed his motorcycle on Blue Mountain at about 8 p.m. on Friday night.

Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Brandt says city fire was able to utilize some specialized rescue equipment to help transport the victim uphill to where the Life Flight helicopter could take him to the emergency room at St. Patrick Hospital.

Brandt says the scope of the victim's injuries is unknown, but were not thought to be life threatening. Brandt credits all three agencies for using their joint training to complete the successful rescue.
