Sisters Of Providence Serve Missoula For 100 Years

Secretary of state Linda Mcculloch has honored the Sisters of Providence with the Secretary of State's Centennial Award, during a celebration ceremony held at the St. Patrick hospital and health services center, in Missoula. The congregation of Roman Catholic women known as the Sisters of Charity of Providence in the Territory of Montana opened St. Patrick Hospital in 1873. The group first registered with the state, as a nonprofit organization, on June 29^th ,1888.
