Regional favorite band "Shodown" will bring the foot-stompin' music to the "large lawn" of Sapphire Lutheran Homes Friday, July 6. The band is the third attraction at the free public four-concert series this summer. The music starts at 7 p.m., according to activities director Dominic Farrenkopf and he invites the crowd to bring lawn chairs or blankets to the concert area on North 10th Street in Hamilton, just north of the Marcus Daly Memorial Hospital.

The evening starts with an optional $5 barbeque, put on by the Sapphire staff, starting at 6 p.m. The free music gets underway at 7 p.m. Raffle tickets will be sold during the first half of the evening, with prizes awarded at intermission (about 8 p.m.). Intermission includes free ice cream bars for the crowd. The final concert in the series will be "The Cold Hard Cash Show" on July 13. Sapphire Lutheran Homes is also instrumental in bringing MSU's Shakespeare in the Parks to Hamilton each year. This year's performance of "Othello " will be August 14th at 6 p.m.
