Sentinel High School has won the Northwestern Energy Academic Excellence award for the 2010-2011 school year. Sentinel Assistant Principal and Activities Director Scott Whaley says the award is given to the school that has the highest “average” GPA for its participating students in cheer-leading, and state speech and drama, and music festival activities. This is the fifth time Sentinel has received this award. A representative from Montana High School Association will be at the Sentinel High Schools vs. Billing Senior Football game on Friday evening, Sept. 9, to present the award during half time ceremonies. The game begins at 7 p.m.
