Senate Approves Testers’ Plan
The U.S. Senate voted to cut $4 billion dollars from the federal budget on Wednesday. The cuts are part of a Bipartisan measure that funds the Government for 2 more weeks. if Congress can’t agree on a long-term plan, however, it could result in a Government Shutdown. Senator Jon Tester says that would be irresponsible, but if it happens – no member of Congress should get paid.
Tester’s Legislation also prevents the president from getting paid during a Government Shutdown.
