Sandy Hook Memorial in Missoula, Tuesday at Rose Park

A candlelight vigil remembering the victims of Friday's shootings in Connecticut will be held at 4p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 at Rose Park in Missoula off of Brooks Street.

Event creator Kayla Kelly Somefeld decided to host the vigil event after hearing of the events in Newtown, Conn. where 28 people, including 20 children, were shot and killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

"Everyone is welcome to join us in remembering the victims, families and residents of the Sandy Hook area," Somefeld said. "Please bring a candle. In honor of all of our grief, please refrain from any political agendas."
