Saddle Fire Complex Moves Farther Into Montana
The Saddle Fire Complex burning over the borders of Idaho and Montana has increased in size over the weekend, although officials are pleased that weather conditions have been in their favor. Fire Information Officer Jesse Bender says more equipment and personnel are working the Montana side of the fire, to keep it from spreading further into the West Fork Drainage of the Bitterroot National Forest. That interview is attached.
Bender says the fire is officially 0% contained, because the Idaho side is being allowed to burn in wilderness areas.
