ANACONDA, Mont. (AP) — Officials say two juvenile runaways from Granite County are suspected to have set the fire that destroyed a century-old log barn west of Anaconda over the weekend.

Anaconda Police Chief Tim Barkell says it appears the boys set a fire in the barn to stay warm and it got out of hand early Sunday. It is not known if charges will be filed. Barkell says officials found the juvenile boys nearby.

Georgetown Lake Fire Chief Jeff Brock said it appeared the fire started in the hayloft.

Mark Horvath told The Montana Standard he had tools and tack in the barn that had stood for more than 100 years. Insurance adjustors have not determined the total cost of the damage.
