HELENA, Mont. (AP) — Mitt Romney's presidential campaign has won the support of a key Montana delegate and three former governors. Errol Galt of the Montana Republican Party national committee is one of a small number of GOP delegates who can support any candidate. Others are generally pledged to primary vote results. Galt said Tuesday he is backing Romney because he believes he has the best chance of beating President Barack Obama. The Romney campaign also unveiled endorsements from former Govs. Judy Martz, Marc Racicot, Tim Babcock and others. A presidential battle rarely lasts until Montana's June primary, one of the last in the nation. But four years ago Democrats Obama and Hillary Clinton fought for Montana's votes. Galt says there is a chance the same thing could happen this year to Republicans.
