Robbed Convenience Store Clerks Now Armed [AUDIO]

Early in the morning on January 8th, Patrick Bendig was beaten and robbed by several men with baseball bats while working at Jay's Mart in Missoula.

Now, the owner, Jesse Singh is letting people know that his clerks are armed and able to protect themselves. Singh says he has never seen anything so brutal as the beating that his employee and friend Patrick Bendig experienced at the hands of men who smashed up the store and stole the entire cash register.

Singh says he still believes Missoula is a good place to live, despite the actions of a few, and that he has been touched by the overwhelming response to Bendig and to the store itself by Missoula customers.

So far, six individuals are in custody on charges of assault with a weapon and armed robbery.
