27 year-old Josh Carter's body was found Monday evening after a traffic accident on Pulp Mill Road that occurred over a week ago. Now questions are lingering over possible alcohol use, and the fact that he was not wearing a seat belt when his truck went over the guardrail and down a 100 foot embankment into an irrigation ditch.

Missoula County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jason Johnson says many lessons can be learned through the tragedy of Carter's death. No matter how much or how little a person has to drink, choosing a designated driver is vital, as is wearing a seat belt.

Johnson says either of those two options may have saved the young man's life. Johnson says the Sheriff's department extends its most sincere condolences to the young man's family for their loss.
