Public Invited to Forest Friday Breakfast in Hamilton [AUDIO]

Bitterroot National Forest Supervisor Julie King will hold this month’s Forest Friday breakfast on Friday, June 22^nd at Perkins Restaurant, 1285 N. 1^st street in Hamilton. The public is invited to join her for breakfast and discussion from 7-9 a.m. This month’s topics and speakers include:

• · Recreation updates – Kaye Olpin, recreation program manager – Bitterroot National Forest
• · Mushroom harvest program – Chuck Oliver, Darby district ranger – Bitterroot National Forest
• · Mountain Pine Beetle Outbreak – Nancy Sturdevant, entomologist – Northern Region, U.S. Forest Service

Forest Friday’s are a new event, started this year by the Bitterroot National Forest. They occur every other month and are a no-host breakfast meeting at a local restaurant with the goal of sharing good food, great company, and a little information about what’s happening on our National Forest.
