Public Comments On Mineral Rights

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking public comment on a proposal to acquire hard-rock mineral rights under 29,488 acres of FWP’s recently acquired Fish Creek Wildlife Management Area and State Park. Thisproposed mineral right purchase from CR Montana Corporation would ensure no mineral exploration or extraction activities would occur under the majority of F-W-P’s Fish Creek Property. Information Officer from the F-W-P, Vivica Crowser encourages public comment.

The public is invited to review and comment on the environmental assessment through June 27, 2011. The EA is available on FWP’s website at fwp.mt.gov under “Recent Public Notices”
