The Missoula Police Department, along with the Montana Highway Patrol will conduct a DUI Saturation Patrol on Friday, September 30th, 2011 in an effort to combat impaired driving. The patrols will begin in the early evening hours and run until Saturday morning with special emphasis on bars and nightclubs in the Missoula area.

Even with the countless arrests of impaired drivers, it continues to be a major problem in Montana and Missoula. With these arrests, crashes and injury crashes are prevented, lives are saved and property is protected. Our goal will be to eliminate DUI injury crashes, inform and educate the public and to keep the public safe while utilizing our streets and highways.

There will be additional Missoula Police Officers assigned to work DUI Enforcement as well as our regular early and late night shifts. Our regular assigned officers are also actively working to combat impaired drivers.

The Missoula Police Department along with the Montana Highway patrol encourage people to have fun and enjoy the Homecoming festivities but please plan ahead with a designated driver.
