Missoula Police will be conducting DUI Saturation Patrols during the holidays starting December 15th through January 1st. The patrols will be conducted with funds provided by the Montana State Highway Traffic Safety Office through a STEP (Selective Traffic Enforcement Program) grants and by the Missoula County DUI Task Force. I spoke with Sergeant Greg Amundsen about the patrols...that interview is attached. There are numerous alternatives to drinking and driving, including designated drivers, leaving the car at home, Home Free Missoula, UCALLUS, a new non-profit offering free rides home by calling 880-1673, and AAA's Tipsy Tow program.
