Two Golden Eagles were found dead near Bear Creek just off of the Fish Creek drainage near Alberton. A Bozeman research lab determined that the eagles were killed by poison. Public information officer for Fish Wildlife and Parks, Vivica Crowser explains,

It is still unclear whether the eagles were targeted with the poison or whether they came across the poison while eating carrion. Anyone with information about the eagle deaths is encouraged to call the US Fish & Wildlife Service at 406-329-3000
