A 42-year-old Great Falls woman accused of violating the city's animal ordinance after nearly 100 cats were found in her trailer home has reached a plea agreement. City Attorney James Santoro tells the Great Falls Tribune that Sherry Bickel has pleaded guilty to several violations, including failure to have tags, failure to remove excrement, failure to register cats, failure to vaccinate and public nuisance.

She also must spend two days in jail and pay a $2,160 fine, $745 of which will go to the Great Falls Animal Shelter for restitution for caring for the cats. Bickell will not be allowed to own any animals for six years.

Police seized 95 cats and two dogs from her home earlier this month, and city officials declared the residence uninhabitable.
