Parks and Recreation Asks Drivers to Slow Down [AUDIO]
School’s out and summer is here, but drivers around town may not have adjusted to the fact that kids are no longer in school and are outside playing in yards, parks and playgrounds. Missoula Parks and Recreation Director Donna Gaukler says one such area of concern is Marilyn Park on Linda Vista Boulevard, where new playground equipment and splash decks have been installed.
Gaukler is also asking area drivers to slow down and watch for kids in general no matter where they are, and to be especially aware of kids crossing streets near parks and playgrounds. Comments from Donna Gaukler can be heard by clicking below.
