WHITEFISH, Mont. (AP) — Residents around Whitefish are being asked to pick fruit trees and lock up food sources after two grizzly bears were captured in Whitefish and had to be relocated.

One bear showed up on a residential street on Tuesday. Wildlife managers trapped the bear a day later near a cherry tree.

Another bear was captured near Blanchard Lake after eating dog food and garbage.

Both bears were tagged with GPS collars so they could be monitored and were relocated to the Whitefish Mountain Range near the Canadian border on Thursday.
