Occupy Missoula Students Stage Walk-Out At UM [AUDIO]

At the time of writing this article, some, if not many students may consider ditching their books and teachers at noon to show support against "unforgivable student debt and soaring tuition prices".

Also in an effort to raise awareness for the current "Occupy Wall Street" stand-off, the mission has now found it's way onto the University of Montana Campus. According to the Facebook event page, a small handful (42 at last count) are pledging to gather at the UM Oval following the walk out. This civilized protest is only a pre-cursor to many more planned events including general assembly scheduled for Saturday at 10am downtown next to the "XXXX's".

Wall Street Protests Enter Second Week [VIDEO]

Protesters critical of corporate influence over politics and who want higher taxes on wealthy individuals continued to march on Wall Street this weekend, resulting in some 80 arrests for disorderly conduct.

Members of the movement, dubbed Occupy Wall Street, claim many of the arrests were unwarranted, and videos taken by spectators show what appears to be particularly rough handling of the protestors by police.

Protesters Occupy Governor’s Office In Helena..An On Location Report

Protesters from Earth First and Northern Rockies Rising Tide are currently occupying part of Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer’s office inside the Capitol Building in Helena. The group has demanded that Governor Schweitzer publicly declare his opposition to the Keystone XL pipeline, tar sands oil and the megaloads coming through Montana. I spoke with Max Grainger, a member of the protest group just after noon today about the purpose of this act of civil disobedience.
