Middle School Bus Drivers Accused Of DUI

Federal prosecutors have charged two charter bus drivers with reckless endangerment for driving a group of seventh graders on a Yellowstone National Park field trip while under the influence of alcohol.

15 DUI Arrests over the Holiday Weekend

24/7 Program Gets Closer To Passing

The Montana Legislature has sent Governor Brian Schweitzer its top drunk driving crackdown proposal. Attorney General Steve Bullock has been advocating for what is billed as the 24/7 Program. Bullock says the program has proven successful, in a pilot project, in keeping repeat offenders sober. If signed into law, the measure would require stringent testing of repeat DUI offenders.

DUI Legislation Front And Center In Helena

The house approved legislation aimed at monitoring people convicted of driving under the influence, or refusing to submit to a blood or breath test. Representative Mike Menahan's bill would allow judges to require them to participate in a sobriety program, or to only drive vehicles with an ignition interlock device, after a second or third offense.
