Oregon State Basketball Assistant on Sports Talk Tonight
Hey, when somebody calls us because they actually WANT to be a guest on our show, we’re shocked!
But with all his Missoula ties, we can understand why he’d like to spend a little time reconnecting with the Montana Grizzly sports community. Scott Gurnsey and I were joined on the phone by Kurt Paulson, Director of Men’s Basketball Operations at Oregon State, under former Griz player and coach Wayne Tinkle.
A native of Whitefish, Kurt worked as a graduate assistant coach for the Griz in 2009, and as an assistant coach under “Tink” in 2013-14. Kurt played for Carroll College in Helena, where he led the Saints to the 2005 NAIA semifinals and 2006 quarterfinals. His wife Kari is a Missoula gal.
It was a fun interview and we hope you can give it a listen. Gurns and I also shared our take on the Big Sky Conference football battles and Scott took a “stand” on the national anthem at NFL games.
