HELENA, Mont. (AP) — The Montana Highway Patrol says a 40-year-old Opheim man died in a single-vehicle rollover in northeastern Montana.

The patrol says the man was westbound on Secondary Highway 248 near Scobey when his pickup truck went off the road at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday. The driver overcorrected, the pickup crossed both lanes and went off the other side of the road. It hit a ditch, rolled once, struck a telephone pole and rolled again.

The man was thrown from the pickup and died at the scene.

His name has not been released.
