Newt Gingrich recently joined Mitt Romney as one of the only candidates officially on the Montana ballot. Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, Rick Santorum and Barak Obama all have just a few days to finish the process. KGVO News spoke with  Montana’s Secretary of State Linda McCulloch about how the process works.

The counties need to collect 500 or more signatures for a candidate to be on the ballot. Technically, Montana offers candidates another route to get on the ballot without signatures, but because it caps election spending candidates almost never choose it.
