A 32-year-old Florence woman died and eight other people were injured in a one-vehicle rollover on Interstate 90 near Alberton.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the Florence woman was eastbound just after 2 a.m. Monday with the sport utility vehicle she was driving went off the left side of the road. She corrected back toward the roadway then overcorrected toward the median. The SUV rolled several times.

The patrol says the driver was among several people thrown from the SUV. She died at the scene. Her name was not released.

Montana Highway Patrol says there were 10 people in the vehicle and not every passenger was wearing a seat belt.

A 36-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man from Clinton were injured along with an 11-year-old girl, two 12-year-old boys and boys ages 10, 2 and 3 months. The extent of their injuries was not immediately available.
