Obama Supports Gay Marriage [Video]

Reversing his previous stance that civil unions would be sufficient, President Barack Obama announced today that he "affirms that same-sex couples should be able to get married." You can watch the official video here (I apologize for the glitches in the video, it's the best I could find).

Obama says his opinion "has evolved." The change in opinion comes shortly after North Carolina voters changed their constitution to limit marriage to only one man and one woman by voting yes on Amendment One. North Carolina is set to host the Democratic National Convention, but after the passage of Amendment One, angry opponents of the N.C. vote are asking for the convention to leave the state all together.
