No More Tattoos or Gang Colors For Missoula Man After Thursday Sentencing

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — A Missoulia man who told police he was a member of a Los Angeles-based gang has been prohibited from wearing gang colors and receiving tattoos as part of a three-year deferred sentence.

The Missoulian reports Missoula County District Judge John Larson gave 20-year-old Leonard Charles Brown the sentence Thursday. Brown had admitted to a botched burglary in November.

Charging documents say that a Missoula couple told investigators that a man wearing a blue bandanna over his face and brandishing a razor knife had broken into their apartment. He reportedly left after the couple screamed at him.

Brown was later arrested and admitted to entering the apartment. He told police he was a member of the 18th Street Crips and had been ordered by other members to rob someone.
