NFL Pro Bowl Ballot Full Of Treasure State Stars

Five NFL football players from Montana are on this season’s Pro Bowl ballots, including former Pro Bowlers Dan Carpenter and Marc Mariani.

Carpenter, the Miami Dolphins kicker from Helena, played in the 2010 Pro Bowl while Tennessee Titans returner Mariani of Havre played in the 2011 Pro Bowl, setting records for kickoff returns and kickoff return yards.

The other former University of Montana players on the ballots are also special teams players – Butte native Colt Anderson of the Philadelphia Eagles and Hardin native Kroy Biermann of the Atlanta Falcons.

Also on the ballot is Buffalo Bills defensive end Dwan Edwards of Columbus. He played at Oregon State.

Fan voting runs through Dec. 19. The 2012 Pro Bowl will be played Jan. 29 in Hawaii. Fans, players and coaches select the rosters.
