On Saturday Sept. 29, a host of specialists on everything from city planning to nutrition will be in Missoula to for the Summit to Prevent Childhood Obesity.

Although the seminar is $30 for professionals and $10 for seniors and students, seminar organizers are making the event free to attend for parents and grandparents. Even if attendees won't be paying an entrance fee, they are still required to register online.

An example of some of the solutions that will be examined can be found on the Summit to Prevent Childhood Obesity website,

"From healthier daycares to safe and accessible trails and parks; from improved nutrition at home and in schools to the effects of physical activity and school performance; from school gardens to more active families -- every possible solution will be on the table."

The event will run from 8 a.m. from 5 p.m. and will be held at the Montana Theater on the University of Montana campus.
